the text in front of you.
A page of a book, a street sign, a menu, a screenshot. Whatever you photograph becomes the lesson.
その村は谷のfar endにあり、冬のあいだは道がabandonedになる。Travelersは春を待ってから登った。
Above: a Japanese speaker reading English. Words from the language you are learning appear inside sentences you already understand. The familiar frame carries the meaning, so you can guess the unknown words from context and keep reading. A slider sets how much is mixed in. At launch mixgo supports Japanese speakers learning English.
Three things it does
Starts with a photo
Text is recognised from your photo on the device itself. Images are never uploaded to our servers.
Mixes word by word
Not whole sentences swapped out, but individual words and phrases. Harder words appear in the language you are learning, so the difficulty rises gradually.
Reads both aloud
The original sentence and the mixed one are spoken one after the other, so the two languages stay paired in your memory.
Pricing
